Kubrat Pulev will most likely not fight with Joshua

Boxing - news

A meeting between Kubrat and Joshua in 2019 will probably not consist, and the world organization said they would not require such a meeting.

Kubrat Pulev's boxing match against Hui Fury was to determine the next IBF title contender. Kubrat has managed to win, but the world boxing organization said they would not require the world champion to come out in the ring against Pulev.

To protect various boxing titles such as WBA, IBF and WBO is a principle of sequence, Joshua has defended IBF, WBA, and now has to follow the WBO defense. Kubrat was close to meet with Joshua in 2017, but an injury brought the Bulgarian out of this fight and it did not happen. The WBO has not yet announced a contender for defense, but this is likely to be Dillian Whyte, because he is currently at the top of the standings.
The winner and holder of the 4th World WBC boxing title will be set on Dec. 1 between Fury and Wilder. One of them will fight with Joshua at Wembley Stadium in April 2019.
