Gennadius Gennadievich Golovkin also known as GGG.

Golovkin was born in Kazakhstan on April 8, 1982, and this year he was 36 years old.

Golovkin is a Olimpic silver medalist and moved to a professional boxing in 2005.

Cannelo Alvarez put an end to his professional record of 39-fight win streak and took from him the WBA, WBC and IBO titles in the middle category.

It was a match between the two, the first match also took place in Las Vegas one year ago, but then the result was draw.

After the rematch, the judges scored the meeting in favor of Canelo, with two of them giving him 115-113, and the third judge judging 114-114.

Before the end of the 11th round, the three judges had scored 105-104 again in favor of Canelo.

Golovkin's promoter Tom Loeffler said he wants to negotiate for the 3rd match between Golovkin and Canelo but if it does not happen Golovkin has two options for opponents:

- Ryota Murata is in the middle category

- Billy Joe Saunders WBO champion

No matter who his next opponent from Golovkin's team said he would come out in the ring early in 2019.

"The fans want to see the 3rdfight, we'll see what he wants to do." said Loeffler.
